I’ve always considered myself an avid reader as a teen, I would often find myself going through 3-4 books a week. There’s truly nothing I enjoy more than winding down with a good book.
Over the past few months, I’ve noticed my habit of bringing my phone into bed was getting a little out of hand. Since I’ve started reading more before bed it has done wonders for my sleep. It is well known how the bright lights can affect your sleep and it’s truly incredible the difference in my sleep.

Today I will be sharing three of my currents reads that help me unwind at the end of the day. The first book shouldn’t come as a surprise as you already know my love for skincare, it was given to me as a gift from my partner and over the year I’ve heard a lot about The Little Book of Skincare, and how helpful it was for beginners like myself. Charlotte Cho, the founder of Soko Glam, explains key tips on getting started in Korean skincare. She covers all the important points; how to treat and prevent acne, how to properly exfoliate and the different ways to do it, and pretty much anything else that has to do with skincare.

Next up, is an oldie but goodie; Tuesday’s with Morrie. This classic novel is about the companionship between a student and his professor and learning about life while coping with the death of a loved one.
Mitch Albom is an amazing writer and his descriptive narrative pulls you in and forces you to get lost in his words.
I was suggested to read this book years ago, and until a few years ago, I never related to this novel. Since reading Albom’s novel, I couldn’t help but read it again as the author truly has a way with words.

Last on the dock is The Travel Book by Lonely Planet and I love using this a source of travel inspiration. While this book acts more as a statement piece for my room than an actual read, it is just as informative as an encyclopedia. I often find myself flipping through the pages of this book; dreaming of my next adventure.
